Mid-life Crisis at 25

Mid-life Crisis at 25
Does that mean that I am gonna die
When I’m fifty
I don’t think I’ll be ready

But there are questions swirling
All about my head
And I keep on hearing
What my grandpa said
“Life isn’t perfect that’s what heaven is for”

We walk a tiring road
When we fail to see our success
Why be so hard on yourself
When you know you do your best

I can’t see the light of day
When I hang my head so low
What will it take for me
Just to learn to let it all go

But there are questions swirling
All about my head
And I keep on hearing
What my grandpa said
“Life isn’t perfect that’s what heaven is for”

Blue skies may be on their way
But I just can’t see that far
It feels like time is running out
If I want to be a star

A friend told me I’m in God’s plan
Just let His will be done
I do believe He’s planted a seed
Now what will it become
